Dr. David Snodgrass – Pediatrics
Dr. David Snodgrass is a Pediatric Dental Specialist trained in a hospital setting. He received his DDS degree from the University of Tennessee in 1984, certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1986 and has been practicing pediatric dentistry in Nashville since 1987. He is also a part-time assistant clinical professor of pediatric dentistry at Vanderbilt University and Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry.
Having authored eight publications in five different National and International orthodontic and pediatric journals (see below), Dr. Snodgrass is a recognized lecturer and mentor to orthodontic study clubs all over the United States. He is best known for the “Snodgrass Appliance” a unique idea that combined the attributes of the Haas Palatal Expander with the attributes of Dr. Hilger’s Pendulum appliance. His awards include the Achievement, Fellowship and Diplomat Awards from the American Orthodontic Society and the International Association of Orthodontics. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society, the International Association of Orthodontics and the Tennessee Dental Association. Doctor Snodgrass has treated over 100,000 patients in the middle Tennessee area including over 3,500 cases of physically handicapped and medically compromised children under general anesthesia in out-patient surgery facilities and major hospitals including, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Centennial and Summit.
He and his wife Melody have 3 children and live in the Nashville area. They are involved with many charitable organizations including Danita’s Children in Quanaminthe, Haiti where they built, equipped, supplied and staffed a medical/dental/eye clinic for Danita’s Children, Hope for Haiti, 501c3 charitable foundation in 2008. Twice a year Dr. Snodgrass takes a team of 15-20 staff members to Haiti to staff the dental clinic. They also take their dental teams to Monkey Jungle in Sosua, Dominican Republic, 501c3 charitable foundation, the Haitian and Dominican Assistance Corporation where they equip and supply a free dental clinic.
Dr. Patrick Knoell – Pediatrics
Dr. Patrick Knoell is a native Californian who served in the US Navy receiving multiple commendations for actions during Desert Shield/Storm in the Iraq War in 1991. After an honorable discharge, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2000; his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 2011; and his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in 2013. He loves to golf but, isn’t very good at it! However, he is good at Brazilian Jujitsu and trains under Cesar Gracie! He sounds like a tough guy but, he’s really a lot of fun so, don’t be surprised if you see him making balloon animals at your next appointment!
Dr. Yeganeh Jewell – Orthodontics
Dr. Yeganeh Jewell relocated to the Nashville area after practicing for several years in Northern Nevada. She was raised in Southern California and earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from UCLA. She followed her dream of becoming a dentist by attending Loma Linda University where she also completed her Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency. At LLU, she was awarded the “Omicron Kappa Upsilon Award” for academic and clinical excellence!
Dr. Jewell is board certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Tennessee Dental Association. Dr. Jewell believes in serving others and giving back to the community. During her career she has partaken in several local and international medical mission trips including, ones to Bangladesh and Honduras. Outside of the office, she loves to spend time with her husband and their daughter. They enjoy the outdoors, and are true travel enthusiasts.

Dr. Essence Campbell – Adults
Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Dr. Campbell moved to Brentwood, Tennessee, in 2010, where she completed high school. She then attended Lipscomb University from 2013 to 2017, earning her degree in biology. Her passion for health led her to Meharry Medical College, where she completed a master’s program in public health before pursuing her dental education from 2018 to 2022.
Dentistry is incredibly important to her because it not only enhances health but also boosts confidence. She loves making people smile and strives to provide compassionate care to every patient. She believes that a healthy smile can transform lives, and she’s dedicated to helping her community achieve their best dental health.
Dr.Campbell’s interests includes spending time with her boyfriend, pet named Ace, family and friends. She enjoys going to titans and preds game in Nashville. She volunteers at Meharry Oral Health Day. She also loves traveling and wants to pursue helping international patients who cannot afford dental care.
