Dr. John T. King – Pediatrics

Dr. John T. King, a Franklin native, received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University of Louisville in 1996. In 1998, he became certified in pediatric dentistry after studying at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. He followed in his father’s footsteps, Dr. William C. King, in achieving Diplomat Board Certification with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in February of 2000. He was named fellow in the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2017 and was the recipient of the Nashville Lifestyles’ Top Dentist awards of 2016-2017.

Currently, Dr. King is a part time clinical professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Vanderbilt University, as well as an adjunct professor in General Dentistry at the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry. Aside from practicing, Dr. King has also been published in the ADA journal. He and his wife, Victoria, have two children, Eli and Sam. He is active in the Nashville community and is a member of Nashville Catholic and is a past president of Bellevue’s Athletic Association.

Dr. Nauzanene Jafari – Adults

Dr. Nauzanene Jafari was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She graduated from Rhodes College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at UTHSC College of Dentistry in 2014. Upon graduation, she accepted a job in Nashville and has been loving it here since then.

Dr. Jafari is passionate about volunteering. While she was in dental school, she volunteered with Give Kids a Smile, Ronald McDonald House, Target House for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Christian Mobile Dental Clinic, Church Health Center, and Hope Smiles. Currently, she volunteers in Nashville with Interfaith Dental Clinic when she has the opportunity. While pursuing her degree and working for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Dr. Jafari wrote several articles that were published in scientific journals. In her spare time, she loves going on long walks at Radnor Lake, Percy and Edwin Warner Parks.

Dr. Daniel Seay – Adults

Dr. Daniel Seay was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia, but his training and education have taken him far from the shore of the Chesapeake Bay. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University during which he studied abroad at King’s College London. He then earned his doctorate in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Dr. Seay then spent many years doing biomedical research prior to pursuing a career in dentistry and earning his doctorate in dental medicine from Tufts University in Boston.

Over the last several years, Dr. Seay has volunteered for many causes, including The Race for a Cure, Sunday’s Bread, People First Hospice and Homecare and Boston Shines. He and his family are happy making Nashville their home. In his free time, Dr. Seay enjoys taking continuing education courses, cooking with his wife and playing with his two small children.

Dr. John T. Houston – Orthodontics

Dr. John Houston IV grew up in Dallas, Texas where his father, Dr. Houston III owned his own dental practice for 21 years. Following in his father’s footsteps, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. He completed his specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics.

Dr. Houston has a heart for service. Medical missions trips have taken him to Guatemala where he was able to provide underserved communities with dental service. He also volunteers in his community by providing dental service in events such as Give Kids A Smile and Texas Mission of Mercy. He loves orthodontics because it gives him a chance to create great smiles and forge a special bond with his patients.

Dr. Houston lives in Nashville and spends much of his free time outdoors on the water, playing soccer, cooking and traveling.
