Dr. Heidi Sottek

Dr. Heidi Sottek attended the University of Michigan Dental School earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2003. Upon completion Dr. Heidi entered the United States Air Force as a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP). She earned the rank of Major and served proudly for nine years.

Prior to her dedication in the field of Orthodontics she served four years as a general dentist. During which time Dr. Heidi received postgraduate training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Her pursuit of dental excellence led to many honors including the Air Force Material Command Junior Dental Officer of the Year Award and 72nd Air Base Wing Company Grade Officer of the Year Award.

In 2009, Dr. Heidi completed her Post-Doctoral training at the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program at Wilford Hall, Lackland AFB, Texas obtaining her specialty certificate in Orthodontics. She continued to be recognized with two 99th Dental Squadron Field Grade Officer of the Quarter awards.

Dr. Heidi joined the SnodgrassKing family in 2012. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Tennessee Orthodontic Association and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Heidi, her husband Tom and their daughters, Sydney, Sophia and Tyler call Mt. Juliet home and their children attend Rutland Elementary. The Sottek Family enjoy all types of sports, hiking, and cooking. When not at work, Dr. Sottek spends most of her spare time at soccer practices, soccer games, and volunteering for the PTO.

Dr. John T. Houston

Dr. John Houston IV grew up in Dallas, Texas where his father, Dr. Houston III owned his own dental practice for 21 years. Following in his father’s footsteps, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. He completed his specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics.

Dr. Houston has a heart for service. Medical missions trips have taken him to Guatemala where he was able to provide underserved communities with dental service. He also volunteers in his community by providing dental service in events such as Give Kids A Smile and Texas Mission of Mercy. He loves orthodontics because it gives him a chance to create great smiles and forge a special bond with his patients.

Dr. Houston lives in Nashville and spends much of his free time outdoors on the water, playing soccer, cooking and traveling.

Dr. Tara Grzetic

Dr. Tara Grzetic was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. Her inspiration to become an Orthodontist started in high school after she was awarded the Donald J Fee, DDS Kaneland High School scholarship, awarded to the most deserving science student.

Dr. Tara received her undergraduate degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Biochemistry. She continued her education at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While attending UIC, Dr. Tara received the Dr. Adalbert L. Vlazny Award and the Dr. Jerry F. Balaty Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry. After dental school, she received her Master’s Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.

Dr. Tara is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Tennessee Dental Association.

She and her husband live in Franklin with their kitty, Mamba. In her free time, she enjoys playing sand volleyball, hiking, cooking, and working on knitting projects for her family and friends.
