MEET THE DOCTORS – ORTHODONTICS
Dr. Miriam Hall
Dr. Miriam Hall is the Director of Orthodontics at Snodgrass-King for all five locations. She oversees quality control, assists with the treatment planning and the additional training of all new orthodontists at SnodgrassKing. Dr. Miriam is also the lead orthodontist in the Cool Springs location.
Dr. Miriam has extensive training in the specialty of orthodontics and dento-facial orthopedics. She was raised in Westfield, NJ and began her higher education at Lafayette College in Easton, PA, where she achieved her Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Miriam was Captain of the women’s soccer team and was on the student-athlete academic honor roll.
She pursued her dental training at the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon and the Matthew Cryer National Dental Honor Societies. She continued on at the University of Pennsylvania for her Post-Doctoral Orthodontic Residency and received her specialty certificate in Orthodontics in 2010.
Dr. Miriam joined the Snodgrass-King family in 2011. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the Tennessee Dental Association. Dr. Miriam was honored by being published in the American Journal of Orthodontics. Her publication is entitled “Effects of Rapid Palatal Expansion on the Sagittal and Vertical Dimensions of the Maxilla.”
Dr. Hall was recognized as one of Nashville Lifestyles’ Top Orthodontists in 2017.
For leisure, she enjoys staying active, exercising, cooking and traveling. She resides in Brentwood with her husband Tom and her three children.

Dr. Nicolas Bisig received his Master’s of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Colorado Denver. Born and raised in Hendersonville, Tennessee, he began his higher education at the University of Georgia, where he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering in 2006. He then went on to earn his dental degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. While pursuing his orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado, Dr. Bisig was awarded the Rocky Mountain Orthodontic Scholarship as the top resident in his class.
Dr. Nicolas Bisig joined the Snodgrass-King family in 2014. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the Tennessee Dental Association. For leisure, he enjoys traveling, fly-fishing, playing golf, and hiking. He resides in Nashville with his wife, Courtney, daughter, Lauren, and dog, Jackson.

Dr. Heidi Sottek attended the University of Michigan Dental School earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2003. Upon completion Dr. Heidi entered the United States Air Force as a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP). She earned the rank of Major and served proudly for nine years.
Prior to her dedication in the field of Orthodontics she served four years as a general dentist. During which time Dr. Heidi received postgraduate training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Her pursuit of dental excellence led to many honors including the Air Force Material Command Junior Dental Officer of the Year Award and 72nd Air Base Wing Company Grade Officer of the Year Award.
In 2009, Dr. Heidi completed her Post-Doctoral training at the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program at Wilford Hall, Lackland AFB, Texas obtaining her specialty certificate in Orthodontics. She continued to be recognized with two 99th Dental Squadron Field Grade Officer of the Quarter awards.
Dr. Heidi joined the SnodgrassKing family in 2012. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Tennessee Orthodontic Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Heidi, her husband Tom and their daughters, Sydney, Sophia and Tyler call Mt. Juliet home and their children attend Rutland Elementary. The Sottek Family enjoy all types of sports, hiking, and cooking. When not at work, Dr. Sottek spends most of her spare time at soccer practices, soccer games, and volunteering for the PTO.

Dr. Jason Roedig grew up in a small town in Northern Kentucky called Bellevue. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Centre College in Danville, KY, where he also played tennis and was on the student-athlete academic honor roll. Dr. Jason attended the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry, graduating in 2010 with high distinction and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
During his dental school training, Dr. Jason was published in the Journal of American Dental Association for his research entitled “Interference of Cardiac Pacemaker and Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator Activity During Electronic Dental Device Use.” He continued at the University of Kentucky for his Post-Doctoral Orthodontic Residency and graduated with a Masters in Science in Orthodontics in 2013. His Masters research was published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine entitled “Comparison of BMI, AHI, and Apolipoprotein E ε4 (APOE-ε4) Alleles Among Sleep Apnea Patients With Different Skeletal Classifications.”
Dr. Jason joined the SnodgrassKing family in 2013. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Tennessee Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and the Tennessee Dental Association. For leisure he enjoys being outdoors, sports, helping out with his aunt’s non-profit breast cancer foundation called Chicks & Chucks, Inc. and spending time with family and friends. He is an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan.
